Important Update on Proposed NIH Policy Change
Two federal judges have issued temporary restraining orders against the NIH’s planned change which seeks to cut federal funding to research institutions for facilities and administration (F&A) costs that support federally funded research.

Access to University Records
The Office of the Chancellor coordinates requests made under the California Public Records Act (CPRA) and the California Information Practices Act (CIPA) for access to or copies of University documents, including personnel and general business records. It does not apply to subpoenas (see Administrative Policy 050-18, Subpoena).

Strike Notice: April 1, 2025
UPTE and AFSCME will hold a 24-hour strike beginning at midnight on Tuesday, April 1, and ending at 11:59 p.m. UCSF expects to sustain critical operations across the campus and health system during the strike.
