The Changing Policy Landscape

UC leadership is working to better understand how recent federal executive orders may impact our education, research, and patient care activities. The UC Office of the President has launched a website to provide resources and updates.

Dear UCSF Community,

Across the University of California, leadership teams are working to better understand how recent federal executive orders may impact our education, research, and patient care activities. I know that many of you are concerned amid the uncertainty, and I want you to know that UC remains committed to the people of our community. At UCSF, we will continue to uphold the principles that have guided our public mission since our founding.

The UC system’s 10 campuses form one university, and we are working together with the UC Office of the President (UCOP) to monitor developments in the changing policy landscape. As part of this effort, UCOP has developed a webpage that will post updates on a range of issues that are important to the work of UC and UCSF. Please review the resources on the site and check back for updates.

We will share additional information and guidance as we learn more. For now, take care of yourselves and each other, and especially those who rely on us.

Sincerely,

Sam Hawgood, MBBS
Chancellor
Arthur and Toni Rembe Rock Distinguished Professor
