Our Gratitude to the UCSF Community
Following the February 26-28, 2025, systemwide labor action, a message of gratitude to those who worked to keep UCSF and UCSF Health operating as smoothly as possible and a request that all in the UCSF community stay grounded in our PRIDE Values.
Dear UCSF Community,
We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who worked diligently to ensure that UCSF and UCSF Health continued to operate as smoothly as possible during the labor action last week.
This strike affected all of us, and we thank our teams for your flexibility, collaboration, and patience as we navigated these complexities together. Because of your teamwork and dedication, we continued to support our mission, providing safe, quality care while sustaining critical operations across our campus and health system.
Having now welcomed back our colleagues represented by the University Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE) and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) unions, we encourage everyone to stay grounded in our mutual respect, PRIDE Values, and shared commitment to our mission areas of research, education, and care delivery.
We are hopeful that a fair and equitable agreement will be reached soon with the University of California Office of the President. For more on the systemwide labor negotiations, visit the UC Labor News site.
Thank you for your resilience and unwavering commitment to UCSF, each other, and the communities we serve.
Sincerely,
