Dr. Carol Dawson-Rose has been selected as the next dean of the UCSF School of Nursing. She currently leads the school’s Department of Community Health Systems and brings more than 35 years of experience to her new role, as well as a passion for advancing research, education, and diversity.

The ODO announces a new UC Office of Civil Rights and UC Presidential Policy on Anti-Discrimination, which is effective February 20, 2024. Vice Chancellor Navarro thanks UCSF community members who contributed to development of the policy.

The launch of the Police Accountability Board website, which provides information about PAB as well as a secure and convenient way for the community to submit concerns and/or complaints about UCSF PD, is announced by Chancellor Sam Hawgood and Vice Chancellor Renee Navarro.

UCSF Health has signed an agreement with Dignity Health to acquire Saint Francis Memorial Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center, along with associated outpatient clinics.

Nicholas Holmes, MD, MBA, has been selected to be the next president of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals (BCH) and senior vice president of UCSF Health children’s services.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, all members of the UCSF community, including employees of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, are required to obtain the latest monovalent COVID-19 vaccine or decline vaccination by March 1, 2024.
