  • John Clements, Whose Science Transformed Newborn Care, Dies at 101

    John Clements, MD, whose scientific discoveries helped save millions of newborns around the world from respiratory distress syndrome and whose boundless appetite for learning helped create the interdisciplinary culture at UCSF, has died on Sept. 3, 2024 at the age of 101.

  • UC Regents Approve New UCSF Clinical & Life Sciences Building

    Report and update regarding Regental approval of the UCSF Clinical and Life Sciences Building, which will be the anchor tenant in the Dogpatch Power Station project and the Parnassus Central Campus Site Improvements Project that will provide a pedestrian promenade and extend the critical utility infrastructure needed for the new Barbara and Gerson Bakar Research and Academic Building.

  • 2024-25 COVID-19 Vaccine Information

    UCSF community is informed that UCSF Health has received its first shipment of the updated adult Pfizer vaccine and is now offering it to patients. Employees who use UCSF for primary care can ask for the vaccine during their next primary care visit. New access points are being created and will soon offer the vaccine through UCSF Health pharmacies at Parnassus Heights and in the Bayfront Medical Building when they open in October.
