Redesign of Student Academic Affairs and Graduate Division in 2025
To meet the evolving needs of the University's education mission, there will be a redesign of the Student Academic Affairs and Graduate Division (SAA-GD) unit to create two campus educational units: the Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs and the Office of Education and Student Affairs.
Chancellor Celebrates UCSF’s ‘Momentum’ in 2024 State of the University Address
Defined as the product of mass and velocity, “momentum” is derived from physics. It also describes UC San Francisco’s journey in the past decade under Chancellor Sam Hawgood’s leadership. “When I delivered my first State of the University address in 2014 , I made the case that we were at an inflection point in our history that required thoughtful adaption to future forces reshaping our environment,” Hawgood , MBBS, said in his annual address. “Now, 10 years later, I am even more excited to be your chancellor. Action Required: New Indoor Heat Illness Prevention Training
To build awareness of indoor heat illness prevention and reduce the risk of heat-related incidents across all UCSF facilities, a mandatory training launches December 4, 2024 and is a one-time requirement for all campus and health system employees. Compliance is due by March 4, 2025.
