    For the 15th year in a row, UCSF garnered the top spot among public institutions in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2021. UCSF continued to rank highly among all public and private institutions nationwide, ranking fourth overall.

  • Gender Recognition and Lived Name Policy

    UCSF has begun to implement the University of California’s Gender Recognition and Lived Name (GRLN) policy to ensure that all individuals are recognized with their accurate gender identity and lived name. Our goal is to fully implement the policy by June 2024.

    Dr. Carol Dawson-Rose has been selected as the next dean of the UCSF School of Nursing. She currently leads the school’s Department of Community Health Systems and brings more than 35 years of experience to her new role, as well as a passion for advancing research, education, and diversity.
