United in Our Shared Mission
UCSF welcomes back AFSCME colleagues after this week's labor action, recognizing teamwork, professionalism, resilience, and dedication to our shared purpose.
Dear UCSF Community,
Today, we welcome back all of our AFSCME colleagues who chose to strike as we move forward together after this week’s labor action.
Your teamwork across the enterprise allowed us to provide safe, quality care to our patients while sustaining operations that support our education and research missions.
We respect the right of our employees to make their voices heard through labor action, and we remain committed to fostering an environment built on mutual respect, open dialogue, and our shared PRIDE Values as we continue our vital work in research, education, and patient care.
UCSF and UCSF Health are committed to compensating our people competitively and supporting the environment they need to advance our mission. We are glad that UPTE and CNA were able to reach agreements with the UC system. We remain hopeful that AFSCME can reach a fair and sustainable agreement that reflects the valuable contributions of its members.
Thank you for your professionalism, resilience, and dedication to our shared purpose.
Sincerely,
