United in Our Mission
A message of appreciation for teamwork and commitment to safe, high-quality care and continued critical operations during the April 1, 2025 systemwide one-day strike impacting UCSF and UCSF Health.
Dear UCSF Community,
Your teamwork on Tuesday enabled us to continue providing safe, high-quality care while sustaining critical operations during the one-day strike, and we’re deeply grateful.
Today, we welcome back our colleagues from the University Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE) and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) unions. We recognize the dedication of all our employees and the essential roles you play in our shared mission.
The University of California Office of the President and the unions continue to negotiate, and we are hopeful that a fair agreement will be reached soon. For more information on the systemwide labor negotiations, please visit the UC Labor News site.
As negotiations continue, we will remain focused on providing exceptional care, supporting our workforce, and ensuring UCSF’s long-term strength. We encourage everyone to stay grounded in our PRIDE Values and to treat one another with courtesy and respect.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our mission, our patients, and each other.
Sincerely,
