Gratitude for Your Dedication
Following the May 1, 2025, systemwide labor action, a message of gratitude to those who worked to keep UCSF and UCSF Health operating as smoothly as possible and a request that all in the UCSF community stay grounded in our PRIDE Values.
Dear UCSF Community,
We want to thank everyone across UCSF and UCSF Health for your work to maintain essential services and ensure patient care during the labor action yesterday.
Today, we welcome back our colleagues represented by the University Professional and Technical Employees (UPTE) and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) unions.
Our shared commitment to excellence in research, education, and patient care remains our guiding principle. We ask everyone to treat each other with respect and understanding, keeping our PRIDE Values at the forefront of all we do.
The negotiations between the unions and the Office of the President are ongoing, and we hope for a fair and equitable agreement soon. For more on the systemwide labor negotiations, visit the UC Labor News site.
We are grateful for your continued dedication to our institution and those we serve.
Sincerely,
