Apply Today for UCSF Community Well-being Grants

Apply for a UCSF Well-being Grant to support the health and well-being of faculty, staff and learners at UCSF and UCSF Health. Application period ends on Friday, July 19, 2024.

Dear UCSF Community,

Thank you for your work in support of the University. The application period for the latest round of Community Well-being Grants is now open, and we encourage you to submit your application in the portal today.

The Community Well-being Grants allow you to share your ideas to support the health and well-being of faculty, staff and learners at UCSF and UCSF Health, including Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. The application period ends on Friday, July 19.

This UCSF-focused program awards grants to impactful and creative projects that focus on one or more of our pillars of wellness: emotional, physical, social, financial, career, environmental and spiritual. Administered by UCSF Wellness and the UCSF Well-being Committee, a cross-section of faculty and staff representing campus and the health system, the grants allow award recipients to implement their ideas to strengthen UCSF’s culture of well-being.

In fiscal year 2024, nearly $100,000 in funds were awarded across 16 projects that benefited about 6,000 UCSF faculty, staff and learners. Grants were awarded for activities ranging from community building and anti-racism training to mindfulness teaching, mentoring, worksite improvement and more. Watch this recording of past Community Well-being Grant recipients to learn more about some of the recent projects.

Our mission to advance health worldwide starts with the health and well-being of our own community. The Community Well-being Grants are an opportunity to be thoughtful and creative in caring for ourselves and our colleagues. We look forward to reviewing your ideas.

Sincerely,
