2025 Staff Engagement Survey Results
Preliminary results from the 2025 Staff Engagement Survey demonstrate consistent engagement and dedication, which provide the foundation for future improvements and innovation at UCSF.
Dear UCSF Community,
Thank you for taking part in this year’s Staff Engagement Survey.
The survey is an important annual undertaking that helps us create a workplace where all feel valued and empowered.
Each year, we conduct the Staff Engagement Survey, managed by Gallup Inc., to gain insight into the work experience of our team members supporting our research, education, and care delivery. The feedback we collect helps us set goals to strengthen engagement and improve outcomes for our people.
Learn More at Friday’s Town Hall
We invite you to attend the monthly UCSF Town Hall on Friday, July 18 at 3 p.m., where we will share the results of the Staff Engagement Survey, provide context for those results across UCSF and UCSF Health, and compare our scores to nationwide results.
Preliminary results from the survey demonstrate consistent engagement and dedication, which provide the foundation for future improvements and innovation at UCSF. Overall staff engagement levels have remained consistent in key areas since 2017. The Culture of Patient Safety score – a series of questions that serves as a baseline for tracking improvements in the patient care environment – also held steady in its second year in the survey.
Steps to Building Culture
At this time, your managers should be communicating your team’s survey results and partnering with you to set goals and implement action plans. We encourage you to take an active role in this work to help guide our efforts and make meaningful improvements.
At UCSF, building a culture driven by your input will enable us to better support one another and strengthen the university’s mission.
Sincerely,
