David D. Jones is the interim Associate Vice Chancellor of Human Resources at UCSF.
Biography
David D. Jones is the interim Associate Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. David joins UCSF having most recently been president of human capital strategy consulting with MalinHughes, a leading provider of executive search and human capital consulting solutions. He has more than thirty years of experience in the human resources space.
Previously, David was the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for Stanford Health Care where he led the staffing and HR workstreams for the opening of the new Stanford Hospital, implemented the StandOut employee engagement program, and developed new services and programs to support the workforce throughout the pandemic. Prior to Stanford, David held CHRO and executive roles at Kaiser Permanente, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, Bon Secours Health System, and Ameritrade.
David holds a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from West Virginia University and is certified as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR) and as an internal consultant in managing organizational change.
