Dear Members of the UCSF Community,
As we celebrate the holidays and prepare to ring in a new decade, I send my appreciation to you for your commitment and contributions to UCSF’s mission.
The advancements you are driving in care delivery, scientific discovery, education, and public service are setting new standards and improving lives at home and abroad. From our health advocacy for immigrants to breakthroughs in genetic testing for children with cancer, your work gives hope to some of the most vulnerable among us.
Looking back on the highlights of the past year, I am proud to be a part of a community that draws strength from our diversity—harnessing our intellect, creativity, and values in our common purpose: to advance health and save lives.
On behalf of the UCSF leadership team, thank you. We wish you and your families a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Sam Hawgood, MBBS
