Dear Colleagues:

The University Community Partnerships Council (UCP) serves as UCSF’s institutional infrastructure for community partnerships. UCP also is the information clearinghouse and coordinating center tracking all UCSF community partnership activities. The UCP office supports the diverse community partnerships that exist at UCSF by facilitating community partnerships, incubating new initiatives, and helping to overcome institutional barriers impeding civic engagement.

On behalf of the Council, I write to inform the campus community that the UCP office is now accepting nominations to fill one UCSF member seat on the Council. UCSF faculty, staff and students are encouraged to apply. Please note that staff members must discuss with and obtain approval from their supervisor.

Candidates must meet established criteria in order to be considered eligible to fill the vacant seat. These include demonstrated experience working in a university-community partnership or collaboration. Council members are expected to attend monthly meetings, actively participate on a Committee, assume leadership roles, and respond to email communication. The term is for two years. Nominations will be accepted until August 12, 2010.
